Disco House is back! With the third edition of their compilation “STARDUST”, Milk & Sugar are once again paying tribute to one of the liveliest genres in electronic dance music history, which is again flaring up all over the world these days; a revival that has been looming for some time already. First, veteran disco producers like Giorgio Moroder and Cerrone gently woke up the genre, which had fallen into a long slumber. It lolled and stretched for a while before it now returns to the stages of musical landscape – strengthened and rested. Originating at the end of the eighties, the mix of classic disco sound and the once youthful house beat cut a good figure until the noughties. Elements of funk, soul, R’n’B and gospel-like vocals by great divas helped the genre to its enormous popularity. People’s longing for the light-footed groove and concentrated zest for life is great in times like these. All the years of cold minimalism in music, the often icy atmosphere in everyday life, but above all the now so hard, long winter have made many people want a romantic hug and a warm hello to grow and flourish. The return of Disco House: a logical consequence. “STARDUST, Vol.3” features music from the likes of Purple Disco Machine, David Penn, Angelo Ferreri, Hatiras and Sebb Junior as well as Full Intention, Richard Earnshaw and Milk & Sugar themselves. With two mixes full of disco-house love, “Stardust, Vol. 3” transports lots of positive emotions and is the perfect soundtrack for the coming Summer months.
